William L. Provost

He was beloved husband and best friend of the late Jeanne A. (Trainor) Provost, with whom he shared nearly 55 years of marriage.

Devoted father of Stephen J. Provost of Kingston, Diane M. Provost of Putney, VT, Kathleen Provost and her husband Leonard Sullivan of Bridgewater and Thomas J. Provost and his wife Donna of Scituate.

Cherished grandfather of Ezra, Dylan, Seth and Sasha Provost, Anthony Provost Sullivan and Alec, Callum and Kristina Provost. Loving great grandfather of Elias and Declan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dear brother of the late John J. Provost, Jr. and Mary Louise Restivo.

Bill was a proud US Navy Veteran of WWII. For many years, he was a respected member of the transportation industry. Upon retirement, he and Jeanne enjoyed many active, happy years in their home in Naples, FL.

Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate on Wednesday July 6, 2016 at 9 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday July 5, 2016 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
