

Alice I. George, 74, of Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at the Village at Regional West, Scottsbluff. A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 24, 2005, at Valley View Cemetery, Torrington with Pastor Matt Gordon officiating. Cremation was at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory, Scottsbluff. Alice was born January 30, 1931, at Meeker, Colorado to Vern and Charlotte (Berry) McLean. She grew up at Meeker and Craig, Colorado, graduating from high school at Craig. She worked in Riverton and Worland, Wyoming for the telephone company. She later moved to Casper and worked for True Oil Company. On November 16, 1973, she married Allen George at Casper. They lived in Thermopolis where she worked for the Hot Springs County Assessor’s office until retiring in 1992. They moved to Torrington in 1992. Allen preceded her in death in 1995. She moved to the Village at Regional West in October 2001. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching sports. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Lori George of Pollock Pines, California; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Glenn Miller of Morrill; grandchildren, Brent and Melissa George, Brandon George, Brittney George, Ross Miller and Audrey Miller; sister-in-law, Edith McLean of Craig, Colorado; nephews, Kenneth McLean and Don McLean; and niece, Shirley Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers, Wallace McLean and Rodney McLean.
