Bernice R. Haun

Bernice R. Haun, 85, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Northfield Villa Medical Center. A private family graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Don Van Deraa officiating. Bernice was born August 10, 1922 in Grand Island, NE to Henry and Mabel (Walters) Leonhardt. She moved to Gering with her family and graduated from Gering High School. She married Jake Haun February 14, 1941 in Harrisburg, NE. When her husband returned after serving in the military during WW II they moved east of Scottsbluff where they farmed and raised their family. She is survived by her children: Brenda and Michael Silverman of Moran, WY and their children Bradley & Elizabeth Silverman of Del Mar, CA and Damon and Lori Silverman of Charlotte, VT, and Jaci and Curtis Wilson of Sedona, CA and their daughter: Katie Carlson, San Francisco, CA; Charles and Gale Haun of Scottsbluff, NE and their children: Christopher and Alena Haun of Scottsbluff, Camilla and Dave Bull of Monument, CO, and Natalie and Curtis Howard of Sidney, NE; and David and Jan Haun of Scottsbluff and their children: Andrew Haun of Houston, TX, and Abby and Scott Rempe of Lincoln, NE; 11 Great Grandchildren; sisters: Irene Waddell, Salida, CO, Betty Schanaman, Madison, WI and Delores Fox of Horseshoe Bend, TX. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers and two sisters
