Betty married William Eugene Van Winkle (Van) September 23, 1945, and to this union two children were born. They later divorced and Betty married M. Grant Smith December 17, 1976.
Betty is survived by her son Robert Van Winkle (Ronda) of Minatare, 6 grandchildren, Becky, Aaron, Teri Jean, Dustin, Thad, and Billy Bob (Bob), sister Anna Marie Alkire, and brother Duane (Barbara) Johnson, 15 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Orval Hiram Johnson and Elizabeth Gertrude Johnson, husband M. Grant Smith, daughter Marilyn, one brother, Harold Johnson and two sisters, Doris May Johnson and June Louise Phipps.
The family would like to thank Heritage Estates for the care they have given Betty the last 7 years.
