

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Carolyn Dolberg Wilhelm's passing on December 15, 2025, at the age of 82.
She was born on February 3, 1943, to Harold and Lydia (Dorn) Dolberg, Carolyn grew up here and was a proud graduate of Sunflower High School in May 1961. She immediately began a career at Associates, a job where her commitment and meticulous nature shone through.
In the spring of 1964, a new chapter began when she moved to Gary, Indiana, and on June 18, 1964, she married the love of her life, Harry L. Wilhelm, in a small, heartfelt ceremony on the army base. The couple soon returned to Scottsbluff, where Carolyn continued her work at Associates until October 1981. She then brought her steadfast work ethic to Panhandle Co-op Federal Credit Union in May 1982, where she rose to become a manager and served the community until her retirement in December 2009.
Anyone who was lucky enough to know Carolyn understood the great pride she took in her work, the integrity she brought to every task, and the positive impact she made on the community around her.
Carolyn’s legacy lives on through her beloved family: her son Mark Wilhelm; her daughter Shelley Hall and son-in-law Charles; her cherished grandchildren Sarah McCauley (Keenan), James Wilhelm (Keira), and Samantha Wilhelm (Xuan); her great-grandson, Oswald Wilhelm, and her many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews especially Rhonda Wombacher, whom which Carolyn cherished deeply.
She has now been reunited with those who preceded her in death: her parents, Harold and Lydia Dolberg; her in-laws, Harry and Clara Wilhelm; her dearest husband, Harry Lee Wilhelm; her sister Charlene Carlson; her brother-in-law Robert Carlson; her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Judy Wombacher; her brother-in-law Ron Wilhelm; and her grandson Andrew Wilhelm.
Per her request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no service. Carolyn will be sincerely and forever missed by all who were touched by her life and her loving spirit.
