

Daniel Raymond Ferreyra, age 78, of Scottsbluff, passed away Sunday morning, March 8, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ed Hunzeker officiating. Cremation will follow. A visitation with be from 3-7P.M. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Services entrusted to Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Daniel R. Ferreyra was born on November 27, 1936 at Morrill to Henry and Nellie (Martinez) Ferreyra. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1956. Following that, he attended a trade school in Denver where he graduated in 1957. Daniel served in the United States Army from 1960-1962. He returned to Scottsbluff and started his own business Dan’s T.V. Repair, which he did as side work, and worked full time at NPPD for over twenty years.
In 1963 he was united in marriage to Minnie Rodriguez and to that union six children were born; Linda, Cindy, Robert, Michelle, Sandy, and Valerie. The couple later divorced.
In 1982 he married Carol Ivey at Scottsbluff and to that union one child was born; Keith Ferreyra. The couple lived in Scottsbluff before moving to Nevada where they lived for 20 years, eventually moving back to Scottsbluff.
Daniel was a member of G.I. Forum and Mexican-American Commission for many years. He enjoyed being a handy man and liked working on cars. He was a huge Husker and Oakland Raiders football fan and was also an avid gambler. He loved spending time with all his family and most recently enjoyed fishing with his wife, Carol.
Daniel is survived by his wife Carol (Ivey) Ferreyra; brothers John (Sylvia) Ferreyra, Richard (Carol) Ferreyra, and George (Lisa) Ferreyra; children Linda (Renaldo) Brown, Cindy (Diego) Lopez, Robert (Pamela) Ferreyra, Michelle Ferreyra, Sandy (Joel) Pattinson, Valerie Ferreyra, and Keith Ferreyra; grandchildren Lupe, George, Kayla, Chris, Dani, D.J., Brian, Ryan, Brittany, Mickey Jr., Jared, Derek, Daron, Alyssa, and Bryce; sisters-in-law Susan and Missy; brothers-in-law Brian and Troy; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Nellie (Martinez) Ferreyra; brothers Albert and Steve Ferreyra; sister Ramona Ferreyra; grandson, Jarrod Pattinson; nephew Mike Ferreyra; father and mother-in-law Elmer and Ellen Ivey; and brother-in-law Leonard Narvais.
