
Daniel Irving Johnson, 75, of Scottsbluff entered into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Regional West Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Private family service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 and interment will be in LaGrange Cemetery in LaGrange, WY with Pastors Don and Scott Mathis officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2012 from 1-8pm at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First State Bank, in Scottsbluff, for family needs. Daniel was born in Allegan County, Michigan, April 29, 1936 to Earl and Flora (Snyder) Johnson. He married Loretta Sage in Watson Corner, Michigan in 1954 in a little white country church and born to this union were three children. Daniel attended Grand Rapids School of The Bible and Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he was a minister, pastor, and teen-camp speaker, he traveled to many churches as interim pastor and started seven churches. Daniel was the founder and President of Frontier School of The Bible in LaGrange, Wyoming in 1967. Daniel and wife, Loretta were hosts of “Hymn Time Country Style” that ministered to the people of this valley for nearly 30 years of radio service, starting at KEYR in Gering, NE in 1983. Later the program moved to KOAQ in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and also KGOS in Torrington, Wyoming, where the program was held every Sunday afternoon and then on to KCMI, where the program was held every Sunday morning until February 12, 2012. Daniel was God’s man and God’s minister to the people.Daniel is survived by his wife, Loretta; daughter, Kathy (Rod) Schuppan of Morrill, NE; son, Dan Jr. (Cathy) Johnson of Wheatland, WY; and daughter Jody (Scott) Dill of Martin, Michigan; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Daniel’s family would like to thank Regional West Medical Center and intensive care unit for their loving care for us and our loved one and a Special thanks to Dr. Louis Kleager and wife Carman for their love and support.
