Donna Lee Schneider

Born in Scottsbluff, NE, on April 26, 1951, to loving parents Stanley and Maxine Gompert.

She married Jerry Bretthauer in Otero County, CO, on September 9, 1969. They had a son, Jeremiah Rue Bretthauer, and later divorced in 1974.

She enjoyed yardwork, garage sale-ing, and playing bingo with her friends. Donna loved Christmastime, driving around looking at the lights and eating chocolate-covered cherries.

She never left her home without her hair being done, make up on, and making sure all her attire matched from jewelry to shoes, purses to fur coats.

Soloman, her German Shepard, immensely loved her and was her prized possession.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gene Gompert and Michael Chatterton; sister Diane Nabors; great granddaughter Ember Bretthauer.

She is survived by her son Jeremiah (Dana) Bretthauer; sister Dixie Hampton; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be officiated by Pastor Al Wilson, 10:00 am, Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Chuck Wagon Church, 1402 E 12th St, Scottsbluff, NE 69361.
