She was born on February 20, 1939 to Fred and Esther Stricker and received her early education at country schools. She lived in Bayard for many years until moving to Scottsbluff. Doris spent most of her life helping to care for and raise her nieces and nephews. Although she never married or had children of her own, she was a beloved aunt. She loved to garden. She was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Survivors include her sisters, Roselea Feather of Gering and Ramona (Frank) McHenry of Rapid City, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Stricker, and her parents.
