

There will be no visitation as cremation has already taken place. Per his request, there will be no funeral services. The family will have a private memorial at a later date. Hal was born April 29, 1927 in Albion, Nebraska to Harold and Laura (Pittinger) Harriger. He married Dorothy May Frisch on April 29, 1945, together they had four children, Paul, Terry, Tim & Cindy. Hal became a mechanic at the age of 12 to help support the family. At the age of 18, shortly after his marriage, he was drafted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany during WWII. After returning home, Hal and Dorothy lived in Gering, Hay Springs, Lyman and Mitchell. He loved being a mechanic, a farmer and a dairy farmer. He loved fishing, hunting, family picnics and gatherings. Hal was a devoted family man and always made sure to tell you that he loved you.
Hal is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy; children Paul (Tammi) Harriger of Torrington, WY, Terry Eads of Mitchell, Tim (Marsha) Harriger of Kearney and Cindy Harriger of Mitchell; grandchildren Debbie (Paul) Flaherty of Allen, TX, Mike (Emma) Harriger of Mitchell, Brenda (Brad) Fulk of Mitchell, Rhonda (Matthew) Johns of Aurora, CO, Briand (Nancy) Eads of Mitchell, Cody Harriger of Mitchell, Josh (Gini) Harriger of Gillette, WY, Sandra Saxe of Lincoln, NE and Bryan Edgar of Scottsbluff; great grandchildren Danielle and Megan Flaherty of Allen, TX, Jordan (Rico) Gonzales of Mitchell, Nick Harriger of Omaha, NE, Andy and Trace Fulk of Mitchell, Dustin (Abbie) Fulk of Gering, Shawn (Amber) Fulk of Gering, Chase and Raele Johns of Aurora, CO, Shane (Kaila) Eads of Scottsbluff, Amanda Eads of Scottsbluff, Tucker and Ashlyn Saxe of Kearney, and Hayden and Colby of Gillette, WY; great great grandchildren Mason, Kallie, Karli, Zayden and Briel; his sister Myrta Fairchild of Iowa.
Hal was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Laura Harriger, brothers Lou, Eugene, Bill and Linc; sisters Willma, Betty, Yvonne, Emma, Mildred and Dorothy, son-in-law Tom Eads and great great granddaughter Kyra Eads.
