Harold Dahlinger

Harold Dahlinger, 84, of Scottsbluff, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at his home. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2010 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ron Nuss-Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday and prior to the service on Monday. Harold was born January 11, 1926 in Scottsbluff, to Jacob and Julianna “Schmunk” Dahlinger. He attended Springer and Mitchell schools. Harold served in the United States Air Force for 22 months from March 1944 to January 1946. On December 14, 1947 he married Helen G. Schneider at the Zion Church in Scottsbluff. He had farmed in the Mitchell and Morrill area all of his life, before moving east of Mitchell and then to Scottsbluff in 2000. He was a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church in Scottsbluff. Harold is survived by his sons, Steven (Alexa) Dahlinger of Morrill and Bruce Dahlinger of Mitchell; grandsons, Levi Dahlinger of Gering, Luke (Julie) Dahlinger of Lincoln, and Eric Dahlinger of Scottsbluff; great-grandsons, Jaxon Dahlinger and Reese Dahlinger both of Lincoln; and sisters, Martha Dolberg, Ruth Jones, and Frieda Goss all of Scottsbluff. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; infant daughter, Beverly Jean; his parents; 3 brothers; and 5 sisters.
