

Imogene Bauer, age 78, of Gering, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Mitchell Care Center, Mitchell. A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 24, 2006, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel, Scottsbluff with Pastor Al Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home.Imogene was born September 7, 1927, at Waco, Texas to Jack and Thelma (Paris) Griffin. She married Louis Bauer June 7, 1950, at Cheyenne, Wyoming and settled in Sioux County, Nebraska. They farmed and ranched for 25 years. Shortly after Louis Bauer passed Imogene retired to the City of Gering in 1993. She declined in her health and for those reasons made her new home at the Mitchell Care Center. She will be missed by her family and ones who cared for her. Her survivors include sons, Gene (Charlene) Hull of Missouri, Louis Jr. (Ida) Bauer of Gering and Tony Bauer of Kansas; daughters, Alice (Bob) Couch of Gering, Laura (Fred) File of Hawk Springs, Wyoming, Jennie (Terry) Belford of Gering and Linda (Rick) Olson of Hemingford; brother, Herman Buckley of Buffalo Gab, South Dakota; sister, Deloris Chasek of Chadron; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and special granddaughters, Jenny Lou Ann Murrell, Linda Alfred, Regina Colyer and Renee Feil. Preceding her in death were her parents, Thelma and Jack Griffin; husband, Louis Bauer; grandson, Adrian McCarthy; and granddaughter, Delta Dawn Olson.
