

His memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery. At his request, cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to the family to be designated at a later date. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
James was born September 20, 1949 in Rigby, Idaho to Jesse C. and Isabell (Lopez) Hernandez. He received his education in Spring Lake, Texas finishing in Olton, Texas. He married Juanita Gonzalez on March 29, 1969 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and made their home in Minatare.
He was in a band as the lead guitar player for Grrupo Angel, Grupo Salvaje and Tesoro Latino. He worked for many years for Elmer and Darlene Meiniger, Albert Becker and Steve Kaufman. He also was a Master mechanic.
James enjoyed fishing, his cologne and working on cars.
James is survived by his son Jesse Hernandez of Gering; daughter JoAnne (Michael) Garcia of Gering and daughter Jennifer (Ron) Hrasky of Minatare; his mother Isabell Hernandez of Torrington, WY; brother Ray (Lupe) Hernandez of Minatare; sisters Juanita Palomo of Torrington, WY, Beatrice (Steve) Camarrillo of Scottsbluff and Yolanda Morland of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Juanita Hernandez, father Jesse C Hernandez, sister Linda Hernandez, brothers-in-law Mike Morland, Ventura Palomo and nephews Roy Hernandez and Mike Sanchez.
