

Jerry Evans, 75, of Minatare, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at his home in Minatare. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Herb Rainey officiating. Casual attire is encouraged. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Minatare. Family visitation will be from 5-6PM with public visitation from 6-8PM at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Jerry was born on March 2, 1940 in Hindsville, Arkansas to Elbert and Alice (Crumley) Evans. He attended Huntley School before entering into the Army in 1957 and honorably served until his honorable discharge in 1960. He received Expert Badge (Pistol), Expert Badge (Rifle) and Marksman Badge (Carbine) during that time. On March 1, 1985 he was united in marriage to Jan Thayer in Torrington, Wyoming.
Jerry began working at Midwest PMS as a company driver in 1970 to 1972 and then became an owner/operator for the company for 43 years.
Jerry loved watching Husker football and bull riding.
Jerry is survived by his wife Jan, son Randy (Debbie) Evans, daughters Wendy (Dan) Stovall, and LaDonna (Gary) Aschenbrenner, 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, siblings Ovadine Dickens, Carl Evans, and Jeff (Dianne) Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Alice, daughter Tami, and numerous aunts and uncles.
