Jerry D Jessop

Jerry D Jessop, 87 of Scottsbluff passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at Heritage Estates after a short illness. A private family service will be held at a later date. Jerry was born April 22, 1937, in Scottsbluff to Francis and Virgina (Orde). He grew up in Scottsbluff where he received his education and farmed with his family.

He married Judi (Schnell) in June of 1958, and they raised three daughters. After he was married, they moved to town, and he went to work at Guerdon Industries in Gering where he retired after 37 years.

After retiring he continued to work on many home projects for family and friends. As he got older, he loved gardening, his video games and building toy models.

He was survived by his wife Judi, daughters Debbie (Patrick) Ganyo of Omaha NE, Cindy (Vance) Janicek of Meridian ID, and Gerry (Thomas) Nation of Scottsbluff; grandchildren Cody (Kaylee) Greeb, Nathan (Ryan) Ganyo, Connor Ganyo, Zachary Ganyo, Tevia (Joe) Daly, Sophia (Lynn) Johnsen, Shelby Daly, Lindsey Daly, Brittany (Patrick) Wendling, Tyler (Paige) Nation and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, parents and 3 siblings.
