Joyce Lee Bowers

Her memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 am at Bayard Cemetery in Bayard, Nebraska with Ted Nutter officiating. Memorials can be given to the family to be designated at a later date. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with services.

Joyce was born on January 1, 1947, in Bridgeport, Nebraska to Alvin and Inez (Robinson) Blue. She received her education in Bayard.

Joyce married Dallas “Ike” Bowers on August 6, 1963, in Bridgeport, Nebraska and to this union Brenda and Bill were born.

She worked at Fowler’s Café, Hardin Harley Davidson, Aurora Loan Service, Granada Feed lot, Western Sugar and her last job which she loved and missed at Bayard Cemetery.

Joyce loved her kids and grandkids, great grandkids and family with everything in her heart. The love she had for her friends was never-ending.

She enjoyed yardwork, her dog, Chloe, her grand dogs and cats. Joyce would help Brenda at her restaurant every Friday for Mexican food and whenever she was needed.

She could still help up at the corrals, with her special cow tripping move.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Krantz, son Bill Bowers; sister Linda (Steve) Flores; sister-in-law Bonita (Harry) Case; grandkids Kyler (Brodee), Kody Krantz, Taylor (Samantha) Dunlap, Colby Bowers, Brandon Bowers, Preston (Shayla) Bowers; great grandkids Kaleb, Breckan, Kymber Krantz, Paisley, Ryatt Bowers and Lettie Bowers (who will arrive next week); nieces and nephews Tony (Kristin) Flores, Stephanie Flores, Wade Blue, BJ Otte, Rick (April) Sinks and Charlene Case.

Preceded in death by her husband Ike, parents Alvin and Inez Blue and brother Butch Blue.

Her smile and kindness will be remembered always! When you are planting your flowers this Spring, think of Joyce.
