Lindell Edward Tjaden

Lindell Edward Tjaden, 59, of Scottsbluff, died peacefully in his home on April 30th, 2009. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with military honors. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Lindell grew up working hard on the family farm in Madrid NE, and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he trained and worked diligently as an auto mechanic. He married Susan Jane Hurt and to this union two children were born Steve and Edward. He cherished the basic values of family, honesty, and liberty until his passing. He will be missed by all, but particularly by his grandchildren to whom his quiet and loving nature was a true gift. He is dearly missed and survived by his two sons and their families; Steven and Amy Tjaden and children Joseph, Michael, and Samuel of Las Vegas NV, Edward Tjaden and Crystal Tjaden and children Jordan, Tyler, and Bailey of Gering NE, his sister and brother-in-law Lois and Joe Smalley of Reno NV, his brother Ken Tjaden and children Amanda and Andrea of Hastings NE, his brother Don Tjaden of Madrid NE, his mother-in-law, Genevieve Hurt of St. Joseph MO, his sister-in-law and family Joan and Tom Kendall and children Sarah and Rachel of St. Joseph MO, and brother-in-law Corky Roberts and son Alva Roberts of Chadron NE. He was preceded in death by is beloved wife Susan Jane Tjaden, his parents Edward and Ruth Tjaden of Madrid NE, his father-in-law Dennis Hurt of St. Joseph MO, and his sister-in-law Diane Roberts of Chadron NE.
