Mary Alice Hendricks

Mary Alice Hendricks, 88 of Torrington, Wyoming passed away Monday, April 20, 2009 at her home.A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the North Hills Baptist Church in Lingle, Wyoming with Pastors Dick Young and Brad Eakins officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 – 6:00 and Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. A memorial has been established to the family to be designated at a later time. Mary was born on November 3, 1920 in Butte, Nebraska to Alfred and Mary (Willard) Staples. She married Joseph James Hendricks on June 27,1937 at the family ranch in Atkinson, NE. Mary loved to crochet, embroidery and do word finds. She enjoyed baking and cooking and growing flowers and spending time in her garden. Mary played piano and loved listening to music. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She attended the North Hills Baptist Church in Lingle for 20 years She is survived by her children: daughter, Nina and Mark Baker of Torrington, WY., son, Jerry and Becky Hendricks of Lebanon, OR and son, Jim and Vicky Hendricks of Gallatin, TN.; grandchildren: granddaughter, Amalie Baker of Mitchell, NE., grandson, Jonathan and Amanda Baker, of Scottsbluff, NE., granddaughter, Mary and Thor Adam of Minneapolis, MN., grandson, Tyler Groskopf, grandson, David and Carrie Hendricks, Phoenix, AZ.,grandson, Tim Hendricks of Eugene, OR., granddaughter, Greta and Jess Ropp, of Albany OR., granddaughter, Joanna and Tyler Emmert, of Corvallis, OR.,grandson, Michael Hendricks, of Portland, OR., grandson, Jessie and Margo Hendricks, of Soquel, CA., grandson, Jimmy Hendricks of Nashville, TN., grandson, Chip Handley, of Gallatin, TN. and 13 great-grandchildren;sister, Nina and Bob Reiser of Sioux Falls, SD. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph James Hendricks, three brothers, Alfred, Don, and Wilbur Staples and three daughter-in-laws, Bobbie Hendricks, Ginger Hendricks, and Vanessa Hendricks.
