Oscar E. Ramirez

Oscar E. Ramirez, 80, of Morrill, died Monday, October 26, 2009, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mitchell with Father Anthony Madhichetti officiating. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill. A rosary will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Oscar was born September 2, 1929, at Robstown, Texas to Pedro and Maria (Rivera) Ramirez. He married Cristina Ruiz on February 22, 1942. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Cristina Ramirez; daughter Santa Magdaleno of Denver, Colorado, son Andy (Mary) Ramirez of Gering, daughter Carmen (Dan) Hubspeth of Oglala, South Dakota, daughter Rosa Morales of Huston, Texas, daughter Maria Reynoso (Greg Rodriguez) of Mitchell, daughter Irma Lerma of Gering, son Amado (Eva) Ramirez of Scottsbluff, daughter Victoria Ramirez of Morrill, son Santos Ramirez of Scottsbluff, daughter Maria (Richard) Robles of Mitchell and Lucy (Saul) Esparza of Scottsbluff; 47 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, eight children and one granddaughter.
