Pauline Smith

Pauline Smith, 94 of Bayard, Nebraska died Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at Regional West Medical Center. Her funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Bayard. Interment will be at the Bayard Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel and an hour prior at the service on Saturday. Pauline was born on September 27, 1911 in Danilovka, Russia to Alex and Amollia (Nuss) Nuss. She and her family came to America in 1926 settling in the Bayard area. She married George G. Smith on November 17, 1934 in Bridgeport. They farmstead in Bayard. Pauline was a hard worker and enjoyed being outside with the livestock, gardening and working on the farm. She loved her family more than herself. She devoted her time and love to her family. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her. She was a member of the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Deb Smith, daughter Marlene Moranville and daughter and son-in-law Tery and Gary Wolverton; 7 grandchildren Jim Smith, Jeff Smith, Scott Smith, Marcy Holler, Mendie Fry, Travis Wolverton and Kevin Wolverton; 13 great grandchildren; brother Alex Nuss. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant daughter, one son, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and two brothers.
