

Phyllis Lou Ehly, 75, of Scottsbluff, went to be with the Lord, October 23, 2007 at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Abiding by the family wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Sat., Nov.10, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at The Rock Church with her son Philip Ehly officiating. Phyllis was born Feb. 9, 1932 in Lincoln to Paul & Viola (Goldstein) Stevens. She graduated from Crawford High School in 1949. She was a loving wife of Theophil (Teef) Ehly for 53 years. The Couple were blessed with four children and many relatives & friends. She was a very artistic person and enjoyed many crafts over the years. She was active in The State Merchandising Group, Soroptimist International, enjoyed many Bible study groups & painting classes. She worked in financing over the years in Chicago, Kansas City, Indianapolis and Omaha, coming to Scottsbluff in 1980 she and Teef owned the Vern Bruce Store for many years and later worked for Herbergers. She was currently driving as Teef’s co-pilot at Enterprise Leasing in Scottsbluff. Survivors include her husband Teef Ehly of Scottsbluff; children Julianne (Les) Sheffield of Indianapolis, IN., Pat (Fred) Bastron of Scottsbluff, Philip (Traci) Ehly of Omaha; grandchildren Tim (Jenn) Helfrich of Lexington Park, MD, Natalie Helfrich & Christine Sheffield of Indianapolis, IN, Candace (D.J.) Garcia and Lysa (Rudy) Jenkins all of Scottsbluff, Chelci (Bill) Wickes, Nathaniel Davis, Alex Ehly, China Ehly, Saraya Ehly, Preston Ehly, McKinzie Ehly and Lucas Ehly all of Omaha; great grandchildren, Kyler and Emily Helfrich, Danny Garcia, Trenton Jenkins, Cameron Wickes and Michael Ehly; sister Ruth (Dick) Anderson of Lexington; sister-in-law, Louise Stevens, Fort Collins, CO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Candice Dondzik, parents, Paul and Viola Stevens and brother Kenneth Stevens.
