

His Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 19, at 2:00 pm at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Cliff Miller officiating. Burial will be in Miranda, South Dakota at a later date. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com for the Molitor family.
Bear was born on March 17, 1944, in Townsend, Montana to Lawrence and Venus (Comer) Molitor. He was brought home from the hospital where he lived his early years on the Merna Loy ranch and attended school at Crow Creek Valley School. Later he moved to rural South Dakota and attended Redfield High School in Redfield, South Dakota.
He married Judy Gabriel on November 19, 1964, in Miranda, South Dakota and made their home in rural Rockham.
In his early years, he did carpentry, construction and mechanic work. Later he was Transportation Coordinator for in the movie industries as well as owner of L & B Productions for 22 years. He owned and operated Molitor Trucking for 12 years.
Survivors include his daughters Michelle (Steve) Gross and Teri (Bob) Morgen; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother Randy (Connie) Molitor; sisters Dorothy Anderson and Phylis Marks (Leo Thomas) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Molitor, son Jerry Molitor, parents Lawrence and Venus Molitor and 2 brothers Eugene Molitor and Bill Molitor.
Bear enjoyed car racing, but was known as a jokester, heckler, auctioneer with an onery side but a heart of gold and always willing to offer a helping hand. He will be missed by all who knew him.
