

Roberto S. Garza, 57, of Scottsbluff, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Phil Flott officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Friends may call at the funeral home between 3-4:00 p.m. Monday The Rosary will be recited at that time also. Roberto was born November 16, 1952 in Del Rio, TX to Senon and Raymunda (Sandoval) Garza. He grew up in Brackettville and married Juanita P. Patterson April 12, 1975 in Belle Fourche, SD. He was a sheep shearer and also was employed by American Colloid while in Belle Fourche. They moved to Scottsbluff in 1987 where he was employed with Hergert Milling where an accident caused him to be disabled. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved music and playing the keyboard he also had a band called Grupo Sorpreza. He would do anything for anyone who was in need. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed greatly. Survivors include his wife Juanita; daughters: Adeline Bravo and Christina Aguilar both of Scottsbluff; son: Stephen (Tara) Garza, Aberdeen, SD; brothers: Abel Garza, Belle Fourche, SD, Reuben Garza, Sioux Falls, SD, Leco Garza, Brackettville, TX, and Catarino Garza, Texas; sister: Alicia Talamantiz, Texas; and 14 grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sylvia Garza, two grandsons and two granddaughters.
