

Beloved Nurse, 4-H Leader, and Devoted Family Matriarch Sandra “Sue” Suhr, a cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering service to others. A gifted nurse and passionate 4-H leader, Sue dedicated her life to caring for others—whether at the bedside, in the barn, or within her own loving family.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, George Suhr, whose steady presence and partnership enriched her life. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Bub Ward, and her daughter, Suzie Suhr, all of whom she held close in heart and memory.
Survivors are her sons, Steve Suhr, Sean Suhr (Mary), and Zach Suhr (Holly), each of whom carries forward her legacy of resilience, kindness, and faith. Stepchildren Cindy Jones and Levi Suhr. Her pride and joy extended to her grandchildren—Jacob Young, Sarah Todd (Jake), Devin Suhr (Jessie), Tyler Suhr, Aaron Suhr, Giuliana Suhr, Kensington Suhr, Daltyn Suhr, Skylar Suhr, Duke Suhr, Elijah Suhr, Britton Jones, Autumn Jones, Cierra Jones, December Wright, and Shanti Suhr, San Suhr, and Blake Suhr. Her treasured great-grandson, Noah Todd. Many step-great-grandchildren and many special adopted Grandchildren. Sister Janet Woodworth, Thelma Muhr, Connie Hilliker. Each one brought light to her life, and her love for them knew no bounds.
Sue’s presence enriched the lives of everyone she met. Her work as a nurse was marked by fierce empathy and dedication, while her leadership in 4-H helped shape the next generation with lessons in responsibility and care. Her warmth, quiet wisdom, and ever-ready laugh will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Though she has passed from this world, Sue’s spirit continues in every life she touched, every lesson she taught, and every memory she created. She will be deeply missed—and forever honored.
