

Walter E. ‘Tony” Taylor, 77, of Scottsbluff passed away at Regional West Medical Center, Tuesday November 5. A memorial service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2013 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Walter was born April 15, 1936 to Walter N. and Blanche (Stratton) Taylor in Scottsbluff. Tony graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1955 and then attended Scottsbluff Jr. College where he loved playing football and running track. Following college he spend three years in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He moved to Hawaii and later California where he worked as a hair dresser, then opening a new chapter in his life he started working for the U.S. Postal Service from which he retired in 1992. Upon retirement he moved back to Scottsbluff to be closer to his family. Tony is survived by his daughter, Angie (Rudy) Gonzales and grandson, Chad of Topeka, KS; brother, Neil (Juanita)Taylor of Scottsbluff; and sister, Kay (John) Enright of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Misty West of Gering; four other grandchildren children; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Wally Taylor; and sister, Roma (Taylor) Hays and niece, Tori Ann Shipley.
