After graveside services the family would like you to join them at the Wildcat Hills. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his wife Sarah Johannsen.
Will was born April 7th, 1981 in Scobey, Montana, to Dallas and Judy Johannsen. He grew up all over Montana. After high school he joined the Army National Guard from 1999-2007.
After the Army he moved Lusk, WY, and worked in construction. Then he moved on to Scottsbluff to work at Magnolia. He then created his own construction company "Wild Bill-ders" in 2010. For the last 10 years, he has worked at the Wildcat Hills. In December 2025, he started a new job at Kuskie Oil to become a propane tank inspector and he built Tim's office at Kuskie.
He was a fierce friend and built lasting relationships. His friend Cat, who worked for him in construction, offered him the job at the Wildcat Hills. this new location allowed him to flourish and become quite the wisecracker. He was an avid prankster, just ask Gary (his work wife) or Gary's wife, Colleen.
When Colleen had enough of Williams shenanigans, she decided to reach out to her old Target coworker, Sarah. Soon one text message turned into the best day of his life. One year after their first date, William married the love of his life Sarah Alfred on July 4, 2024 in Gering, Nebraska. They loved going on adventures weather it was camping, fishing, or Sarah helping him prank someone. They loved being together and were inseparable.
He could really do it all, from attic to targets to tic-tac-toe. He was always building something. He could build a house from the ground up to individual items, like a Halberd. He did all sorts of projects in Nebraska and even branched out to Washington for a custom remodel for his brother. He loved to build and create things especially for the ones he loved. The best achievement being the Wildcat Hills Range.
Some projects are unfinished, but his friends and family will complete them with his memory in their hearts.
Will loved the outdoors he loved to fish, hunt, camp, boat. He loved the mountains and the prairie. He loved our farm with the two dogs, Shadow and Rusty, five cats, chickens, and a duck that he loved very much. William was also a lover of all creatures, except rattlesnakes.
He loved to help people so much so that he donated his organs in hopes of helping someone one last time.
He is survived by his loving wife Sarah; parents Judy and Dallas Johannsen; brother Brian Gregg (Kim); niece Abigail Gregg; mother and father-in-law Ralph and Guylene Alfred; brothers-in-law Ralph Alfred, Rodney (Julia) Alfred, Timothy (Donna) Alfred; Aunt Peggy Johannsen; great Uncle Charles and great Aunt Ellen Johannsen; many cousins; and friends that were more like family.
William is preceded in death by this maternal grandparents Wilis and Jennie Wood, his Uncle Walter Wood, his paternal grandparents Frank and Tootie Johannsen, and his Uncle Bruce.
