Barbara Ann Davis

Barbara Ann Mitchell Davis went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2016. She was born on December 15, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to Isacc Austin Mitchell and Amanda Lorena Richards Mitchell. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Dearl Davis; daughter Lana Kay; brother Jerry; sister Macelita; brother Grandon; sister Zava; sister Patsy and sister Maurine. Left to forever hold her memory in their hearts is her son Dearl Davis II & wife Jeanette; Son-In-Law Wendell Baker; Grandchildren Boedy Baker, Sancy Green & husband James, Dearl Mack Davis III & wife Mandy, Randy Davis & Amber Tate and Shelley Hinkle & husband Zach; great grandchildren Dylon McGinnis, Destiny Baker, Boedy Baker, Jayden Green, Landon Green, Zane Hinkle, Logan Hinkle and Madison Hinkle; sister Mildred Shotwell & husband E.B. and numerous other family loved ones and beloved friends. Barbara enjoyed her career as a beautician for many years. Keeping a feminine appearance up to date and in season was very important to her. She was very talented at doing so. Barbara was a member of the “Racy Reds” Red Hat Society. She loved flowers and traveling. She loved to cook, especially at family gatherings. She also volunteered at the Kaufman County Library and her church. Barbara loved the Lord and her church. After getting sick, Barbara’s strongest desire was to get well enough to go back to work to at the church. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6-8pm Monday December 5, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home Seagoville, Texas. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Grace Fellowship Church, 7650 FM 1388 Kaufman, Texas 75142. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Seagoville, Texas. Pastor Darril Deaton will officiate.
