Betty Sue Morrison

Betty was born February 3, 1932 in Grimes County, Texas, to Grady H. Gentry Sr. and Robbie Belle Gentry.

Betty was attending Crozier Tech High School in Dallas when she met the love of her life, Bob Morrison. The two would marry on August 30, 1947. They would grow their family a few short years later and Betty would begin her lifelong work as a homemaker, Mama, and later Granny.

She loved sewing and crafting of all different kinds. Betty loved having people over and around the house. She could regularly be found listening to gospel music or sitting reading her Bible. When her kids were young she was incredibly active in their school PTAs and continued to be very active in her children’s and grandchildren's lives. Betty was also a long time member of Victory Baptist Church in Terrell

Betty is survived by her sons, Marvin Rex Morrison, and Donald Roy Morrison and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Deandra Kay Smith, Brittany Patton and husband Dillon, and Heather Clower and husband Blayne; Great-grandchildren, Crystal Rae Pettijohn and husband Matthew, Kylie Carpenter and husband Andrew, Avery Patton, and Jackson Patton; Great-great-grandchildren, Hunter, John, Melody, Madeline, Gunner, and Amelia Pettijohn, and her siblings, Bobbi Tice and husband Sabre, Carlton Gentry, Evelyn Ross and husband Donald, and Sharon Steinbach and Husband Mike.

Greeting her in heaven was her loving husband of 49 years, Bob Morrison; her parents Grady Houston Gentry Sr. and Robbie Belle Coldiron Gentry; son, Wesley Ray Morrison; daughter-in-law, Sharon Kay Morrison; and her siblings, Maurine Fielding, Jerry Gentry, Grady H Gentry Jr, and Dennis Gentry
