Bevelyn "Bugs" Morris Foster

Bugs was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Edna Foster; sister, Jesse Raben; nephews, Ricky Smith and Butch Webb; great-nephew, Cole Worley, brother-in-law, Carl Smith, and ‘man’s best friend’ Dixie.

Bugs is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Humphry Foster, of 55 years; daughter, Tonya Mathis and husband Kenneth of Grays Prairie, TX; grandson, Coy Mathis and wife Barbi of Kaufman, TX; grandson, Collin Mathis and wife Scout of Athens, TX; great-grandsons, Isaic Cortez and Conway Mathis of Kaufman, TX; sisters, Ileen Smith of Cross Plains, Mamie and George Webb of Abilene, Martha and Jim Leveritt of Lake Brownwood, Vicki and Russell Cobb of Temple, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Bugs grew up in the Primitive Baptist Church and attended Cross Plains schools through graduation. After graduating he moved to Dallas, where he met his beautiful bride, Sharon. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator while attending night school to become a Real Estate Broker, and then began selling homes in the Pleasant Grove area. In 1976 they moved to Seagoville, selling real estate and building homes.

Bugs was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church on Seagoville Rd. He enjoyed serving on the Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club. He was elected Mayor of Seagoville in 1983-1985.

Some of his favorite past times were tournament fishing with his partner Sharon, playing dominoes, and hunting in Strawn with family and friends. Best of all time, was taking Coy and Collin hunting and fishing, and attending their sporting activities.

Having a smile as big as Texas and the love for his family will always be remembered! Rest in peace sweet Daddy/Papa.
