

She graduated from Royse City High School in 1973. She dedicated many years of service as the manager of the H.H. Browning School cafeteria in Royce City, bringing smiles to all who interacted with her. Candy was known for her infectious laugh, love of singing Patsy Cline songs, and sweet smile.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Harold Paine I, of Crandall, Tx; her children, Krystal Pennington and husband Edwin of Athol, Ma, and Misty Brown and fiancé Christopher Rowley of Kingston, Ok; and her stepchildren, Chelsie Paine of Dallas, Tx, Harold Paine II of Dallas, Tx, Heath Paine of Crandall, Tx, Carl Speck and wife Kathy of Dumas, Tx , David Thompson and wife Heather of Rockwall, Tx, and Vince Thompson of Allen, Tx.
Candy was a proud Momo to her grandchildren: Brooklyn, Karlie, Rheagan, Stormy, Chloe, Audrey, Rhett, Jett, Joie, Haylie, and Charli, along with five other grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Morris Don Drumm and wife Cindy, John Dwight Drumm and wife Pam, and Bobby Don Cox.
Candy was preceded in death by her late husband, Carl Basil Thompson, and her parents, John and Nell Drumm.
A memorial service will be held on October 19, 2024, at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Hwy 175, Seagoville, TX 75159, at 10 a.m.
Candy will be missed by all who knew her and who received so much love, happiness, and laughter during her time on Earth.
