Carolyn was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on April 26, 1949 to Noonen W Byrd Sr. and Susie Lou Black. She was a retired waitress of Keller's Drive In where she worked for many years, along with many other jobs, before becoming a Nanny for her nieces and nephews, as well as many other children in the neighborhood.
She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, spending time with family and friends, cooking (especially green bean casserole) and lastly, but most importantly, she loved her tupperware cup with Coke and ice.
Carolyn was a 20 year colon cancer survivor. Everyone knew that when they saw her, they'd see Camran Easley. He took care of her, same as she did him, so they were always together. She never met a stranger, and she never met anyone that she couldn't help. She was always especially quick to help her family and friends when they needed her.
Carolyn is survived by her two brothers, Wesley Byrd and wife Mary of Terrell, and Terry Byrd of Florida; her three sisters, Doris Wright of Abilene, TX, Glenda Offutt of Kaufman, TX, and Anita Roush of Arkansas; her four nieces, six nephews, eight great nieces, nine great nephews, many more family and friends, and last but not least, her loving dog Lionel.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her father, Noonen W Byrd Sr. and mother, Susie Lou Black Byrd.
She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
