Charles “Dub” Walter Stout, 87, of Terrell, TX, passed away on December 24th in Wills Point, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, pawpaw, uncle, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on April 7th, 1935 in Big Rock, TX to Lester and Ethel Stout.
Charles lived a simple life. He enjoyed fixing things, gardening, fishing, and being outside. He could often be found sitting outside watching the cars go by. It didn’t take much to make Charles happy. He loved to visit with family and friends, as was evident, by the huge smile on his face.
Charles is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Jean Stout, of Terrell, TX, son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Karen Stout, of Terrell, TX, son, Ronald Stout, of Ladonia, TX, grandchildren, Zakary Stout, of Forney, TX, Kaylee Bristow, of Forney, TX, Ashley Nelson, of Grand Saline, TX and Brendan Stout, of Dallas, TX, sister, Bessie Martin, of Kemp, TX, sister, Anna Stafford, of Kemp, TX, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ethel Stout, and brothers Gene and Jessie Stout.
The visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on December 31st, 2022 at the Roselawn Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held immediately afterward. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
