Chuck Abbott

Charles Tillman Abbot, age 94, of Tool, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all that knew and loved him. Chuck was born July 18, 1928, in Wilmer, Texas to Ben and Tishia Abbott.

Chuck grew up in and around Dallas. He later met Betty Jane Howarth and together they had two children. Chuck worked for Parrot Oil corp, and later its successor, RanParr Inc. for a combined 62 years prior to his retirement.

Outside of his work and family life, Chuck and Betty were long-time members of Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 5-14 at Cedar Creek Lake, a Member of Aley United Methodist Church, and he was awarded the Lifetime service award by the Cedar Creek Lake Chamber of Commerce in 1999. He loved being around family and friends and boating around Cedar Creek Lake. He was always willing to help anyone that needed a hand. He was incredibly caring, trustworthy, and dependable.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Donna Abbott Endsley & husband Gaither; grandchildren, Christina Cornell & spouse Tony Cornell, Dustin Endsley, Gerry Abbott & spouse Kristen Abbott, and Jennifer Abbott; great-grandchildren, Preston Cornell, Logan Cornell, Samantha Cornell, Sabrina Cornell, Colby Endsley, Leslie Endsley, Hyden Abbott, Eliza Abbott, and Christian Anderson. He is also survived by his Brother-in-law Stanley Wright, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Betty Jane Abbott, his parents, Ben and Tishia Abbott, and his son, Stanley C. Abbott. Along with his sisters Peggy Wright, and Loyce Vough, Brother-in-law Bobby Vough, and his brother Royce "Tuffy" Abbott

A funeral service for Chuck will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. Following the funeral service will be a committal service in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
