Cliff (as he was known) was born to Olen Bryan Cullum and Carmen Josefina Rios. His parents met on an Army base and fell in love despite language and cultural differences. From there, they moved with young Cliford to Fort Worth, Texas where he would be raised on 3449 Gordon Avenue with his parents and his brothers, Louis and Jerry.
Cliford attended Paschal High School, where he met his first wife and the mother of his children, Judy Phipps. With Judy he would raise three children , Laurie Elizabeth, Matthew Bryan.and Aaron Bradford Cullum.
Cliff was a successful route salesman for several notable companies including Frito Lay, Mother’s Cookies, and Eagle Brand Snacks. After retiring from corporate sales, Cliff continued in sales travelling over the country selling products.
Sales is where Cliford met his second wife, Sherry Sloan. They loved to travel all over the United States, enjoying different locales, watching sprint and Nascar racing and selling products. Cliff and Sherry also enjoyed camping in their RV and meeting friends in places like Branson, Missouri.
After losing his beloved wife Sherry to cancer in 2022, Cliff decided to sell his house and move into the RV where he and Sherry had spent so many happy times together, living on the same spot of land that they had bought in Combine, Texas.
Cliff is survived by his daughter Laurie Elizabeth Winchester, and sons, Matthew Bryan Cullum and Aaron Bradford Cullum. He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicole Shipman, Bradley Vass, Jeffrey Cullum, Sarah Cullum, Cody Vass, Ashley Cullum, Joseph Cullum and Zachary Cullum. His great grandchildren include Colby Nyugen, Caylin Nyugen, Koyt Shipman, Everleigh Vass and Memphis Mae Vass. He was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Josefina Cullum, his brother Jerry Cullum and his second wife Sherry Cullum.
Cliff is pain free now, with restored hearing and mobility, reunited with Sherry. It is NOT hard to imagine the reunion– with Sherry laughing and yelling : “Cliff!”
