Keith was born on October 11, 1954, in Dallas County to Donald Keith Dillion Sr. and Margaret Bryant Dillion.
Though both of his parents passed away when he was very young, Keith persevered and continued his education, graduating early from Hillcrest High School in Dallas. He worked multiple jobs before attending Southern Methodist University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business degree. He went on to put his education to use by starting several businesses, including a landscaping company and a cleaning service. Later, he ventured into custom home building, obtained his real estate license, and worked for the Kaufman County Appraisal District. Before fully retiring, he completed the final 18 months of his career working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Hutchins.
Even after his formal retirement, Keith continued building homes and selling real estate. He had a strong work ethic and truly loved what he did. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time near the water, especially at Callender Lake and vacationing in Galveston. He was also a proud patriot who deeply loved his country and its history.
Throughout his life, Keith shared his home with several feline companions, but his favorite was his beloved cat, Geoucho.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Sr. and Margaret Dillion; his grandparents, Clinton and Annalee “Granny” Dillion and Grover C. and Lilly “Nannie” Bryant; and his uncles, Clinton Dillion and his wife Maxine, and Patrick Dillion and his wife Audie.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia Dillion of Scurry, Texas; his daughters, Margaret Curtis and her husband Chris of Crandall, Texas; Carlee Dillion of Fort Worth, Texas; Sue McGlocklin and her husband Kevin of Kaufman, Texas; and Mistey Long and her husband Paul of Scurry, Texas; his sisters, Susi Riedel and her husband Walter of Orange, Texas, and Nancy Stevens and her husband Marc of Bedford, Texas; his niece, Vanessa Gabel; his nephews, Lyle Stevens, Chris Riedel, Bryan Riedel, and Andrew Riedel; along with eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many beloved friends and extended family members.
