Gail McWhorter Fisher

She was born 11/4/1921 in Farris, OK. to Bessie Crowley and Tandy Stiles. She was raised by her mother and stepfather Joseph Smith.

She will always be remembered as the most loving, caring homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family. She always had a joy for life and children loved to be around her. She was a Baptist and shared memories of her and her sister singing in church at the request of the pastor.

She lived her early childhood in Oklahoma before her family moved to Texas. She was married to Felton McWhorter from 3/27/1940 until his death on 7/8/1976. They lived in Seagoville, Tx and Combine, Tx before moving to Dallas, Tx in 1967. They had 6 children. Son, Gerald McWhorter who preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter-in-law Joyce McWhorter of Royse City, Tx, daughters Jane Smith of Forney, Tx, Nancy Davis of Flower Mound, Tx and June Stutts of Caddo Mills, Tx, sons Rodney McWhorter and wife Vickie of Rockwall, Tx, Gary Dee McWhorter and wife Debbie of Mesquite, Tx, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her second husband Ernest Fisher on 2/21/2005. She lived with and was cared for by her daughter Jane Smith for the last seven years.

The visitation will be held at 1:00pm on 6/23/2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, Tx. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on 6/23/2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
