Walter was born on December 9, 1936 in Forney, Texas to William Ray Kimberling and Willie Bell Kimberling (Wickliff). Walter attended Forest Avenue High School.
Walter was a truck driver for 41 years for Merchants Motor Line in Dallas, Texas. In his free time, he loved going hunting and fishing. Walter also enjoyed farming, and was the proud owner of several cows and horses. He had a green thumb, and he often could be seen gardening and tending to the yard.
Walter is survived by his wife, Diann Kimberling, and his two sons, Mark and Dale Kimberling. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Walter will be remembered as a hard-working, resilient, strong man whose presence shaped the lives of those around him.
