Jimmy B Gomez, aged 86, passed away on December 18, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. Jimmy was born on January 25, 1939, in McKinney, to Juan and Catalina Lujan Gomez. He was baptized as Santiago Gomez in March 1939 in McKinney.
Jimmy was known for his humorous nature and the joy he brought to those around him. He was married to Elvira DeLuna Gomez on April 23, 1960, in McKinney, Texas. They were married for 65 years. Jimmy was an ironworker and a proud member of Dallas Ironworkers Union 481, retiring as the Superintendent. Though he only had a 5th grade formal education, Jimmy's supreme wisdom was measured through his immense success and amazing accomplishments. Jimmy was a local musician in his band, Jimmy Gomez and the Country Outlaws. He was well-known in the dancing community and he performed for over 30 years.
He is survived by his children, Sara Gomez Robison and husband Dino Robison, and Sophia Gomez Brown and husband Byron K. Brown. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Amanda Brown, Christopher Derow, Diana and Jonathan Glenn, Michael and Victoria Brown, and Andrew Brown. He is also remembered by his great-grandchildren, Mia Brown, Mason Brown, Milas Glenn, Madelyn Brown, and Max Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews and Madelyn's mother, Michelle Canizales.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Catalina Gomez, and his siblings, Alfredo Lopez, Jose Lopez, Natalia Gomez, Genaro de Jesus (Jesse) Gomez, and Francisco (Frank) Gomez.
Jimmy will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
