Joilyn Anderson

Joilyn Anderson, age 58, passed away on March 29, 2022 at her home in Seagoville, Texas. She was born January 15, 1964 to Nelson & Sue Jergins. Joi was raised in Dallas, Texas where she attended H. Grady Spruce High School. She was an excellent student and loved participating in the school’s marching band. Shortly after graduating in 1982, she was married and working as a teller at a local bank. After having her two children, Joi became a homemaker to take a more active role in her children's lives.

Joi loved spending time with family, especially her children. She loved playing board games, computer games, slots, cards, and any other game imaginable. She was a voracious reader, loved all genres of movies and TV shows, and was always looking forward to the next holiday. Her friends and family will always remember her as a kind, giving woman who would treat you like family. She was always willing to help someone in need, and her door was always open if you needed someone to talk to.

Joi is preceded in death by her mother Sue Janes, father Nelson Jergins, her daddy Bill Janes, and her good friend Carolyn Cubine.

Joi is survived by her children Marki Anderson and wife Mary, and Miles Anderson, her sister Debra Gossett and husband Eddie, her brother Mike Stewart and wife Daralynn, and countless other family members, friends, and colleagues who will carry her spirit with them.

A visitation for Joilyn will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will occur thereafter from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with reception to follow. A committal service will occur Monday, April 11, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Cedarlawn Memoria Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090, where Joi will be laid to rest beside her mother.
