Tina,
I'm so sorry to hear about Janie. She was good people. I'll never forget the advice she gave us when we were teenagers. I still think about it & smile.  In fact, I gave to my boys. Sending Prayers & Hugs to you, Manual & your family. 
May your memories bring you comfort in the days to come.

Aunt Janie was a truly splendid person. My wife Olivia and our kids spent many trips to Dallas and stayed with Janie and Manuel for a week at a time and enjoyed every minute of it. She was always very welcoming, and she took care of us as if we were in a hotel. Or at least, I should say, she wanted to. Her tortillas were the best in the land. She would say things that no one else would say that would just crack you up and make you smile. My wife gave her the name of Aunt Bea, like the aunt on the Andy Griffith show. That’s because she was a wonderful hostess, she took care of her family and she was a wonderful cook. On Thanksgiving, we would all be in stitches because aunt Janie would sit there and choose the carcass of the turkey and slowly pick every little remnant of meat off of that turkey and by the time she was finished, all it was skeletal. She was the type of individual that was easy to love. We loved Aunt Janie. God loved her too. That’s why she left this world to be with Him. She is now peaceful and probably grinning from ear to ear, as she was very well known for doing. My heartfelt condolences go to Manual, Tina, Adam, and Issac. They will fill the brunt of the void and sadness. Losing a loved one is very difficult. But in losing them, knowing that they are with the Lord, is very comforting. If there is food to be made in heaven, Janie will be making many, many tortillas, with that super grin on her face. God bless aunt Janie, and may she rest in peace.
