

Levi Taylor Whitlow (77) of Mesquite, Texas went home to the Lord on June 12, 2015. He was born in Rule, Texas on April 19, 1938 to William Taylor Whitlow and Hawley Eskew Stovall Whitlow. He is preceded in death by parents and 3 sisters. Left with treasured memories to cherish is his loving wife of 37 years Brenda Whitlow; daughter Marni Watts & husband Terry; Cynthia Scott & husband Jason; grandsons Walker Taylor Watts and William Terry Watts; granddaughter Ashli Scott and numerous other family loved ones. Levi retired from the Dallas Fire Department after over 31 years of dedicated service as a captain in the arson investigation division. He was also a longtime member of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Posse. Levi loved his horses and his guns. He also enjoyed motorcycles and touring with friends and club members all over the United States. Levi was a Christian man who loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed family gatherings and time with friends including his morning trips to “Scrambles”. Levi never met a stranger. He was always available with a helping hand or to tell you the best place to eat no matter where you were. The family will greet friends at a visitation from 12:30 pm.to 1:30pm prior to the celebration of Levi’s life at 2:00pm. Tuesday June 16, 2015 at Family Cathedral, 790 Windbell Cir. Mesquite, Texas 75149. Interment will follow in the Garden of Scriptures, Roselawn Cemetery, Seagoville, Texas. Pastor Harry Sewell officiating.
