Dad lived a very productive and grace-filled life. He was a believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and lived a very principled life. He was a 32ND Degree Mason and a Mason for over 55 years of his life. He, his Papa (Grady Monroe “Bigon” Badgley) and his Brother, Grady Leon Badgley, operated Badgley Services Trucking Company during the 1950s and 1960s. He then worked as a mechanic for the Dallas Fire Department and later drove a truck for Steel Forms out of Seagoville.
His greatest accomplishment was taking care of his Mother Minnie Lee Badgley and his Wife Peggy Badgley during their final years. As his son, I will always be indebted to him for teaching me the value of principles and hard work. He is and will be missed by those that knew him.
He’s preceded in death by his Papa , Grady Monroe “Bigon” Badgley; Mama, Minnie Lee Badgley; Brother, Grady Leon Badgley; Sister, Mary Margaret Jacobs; Wife, Peggy Badgley, and Nephew , Gary Badgley.
He is survived by his son, George Badgley; daughter-in-law, Kristy Badgley; granddaughter, Kylie Badgley; grandson, Landon Badgley; nephews, Rusty Jacobs, Randy Jacobs, Rowdy Badgley, and sister-in-law Joyce Badgley.
A Wake Service will be held at Roselawn Funeral Service located at 1000 S US 175 Frontage Rd, Seagoville, TX 75159 on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6-8pm.
