Born in Denver, Colorado on March 23, 1953 to Robert and Dorothy Stage. Dorothy and her children relocated to Garland, Texas and married Bob Jeffcoat on April 20, 1962. Bob would Cherish and lovingly raise Peggy and her brother Danny as his own children. Followed by adding two more children Tommy and Lisa. She attended South Garland High School and graduated in 1971, where she loved music and was the president of The Monkees fan club.
Peggy met and fell in love with Calvin Sanders and married on August 18, 1972 making a home together in Dallas, Texas. Peggy’s biggest dream in life was always to have children. That dream would become a reality for her in 1980 with their first child, Jay, and then by her second child, April in 1986. Peggy worked as a phone operator for South Western Bell and AT&T. She then moved on and made a career as a Radiology Technician, where she loved caring for people. She was always active in her church and helped teach on Sundays and volunteered her time often.
If you asked Peggy what her biggest joy in life was, she would tell you it was being a mother and grandmother. She was always there for her children and was actively involved with everything they did in life. From Cub scout master with Jay and the Sunflower girls dance group with April, she was always there. In her later years, after her children were raised, she then moved on to helping raise her grandson Nico. She loved Nico so much and spent every available minute she had with him. They were truly the best of friends.
If you had the pleasure of knowing Peggy, you would know how much of a caring and selfless person she was. She expressed that in every aspect of her life, from her career in healthcare, to her church life, and her children and grandson. She loved everyone and would do anything for you.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father Robert Stage, Step father Bob Jeffcoat, and daughter April Sanders. Left to cherish her memory is her mother Dorothy Jeffcoat, siblings Danny Stage, Tommy Jeffcoat, and Lisa Owens, husband Calvin Sanders, son Jay Sanders, and grandson Nicholas Flores as well as many more family and friends.
