Richard Marvin Newman Jr.

Richard Newman, cherished son, father, brother, grandfather, and lifelong jokester, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a family and community who will forever remember his humor, warmth, and love. Ricky was born on March 4, 1957, to Rushie (Lucky) Newman and Richard M. Newman Sr. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John Newman.

He is survived by his devoted son Jason Newman and his wife Alex Newman; his sons, Dillion Newman and Steve Newman; his daughter, Cindy Newman; his sister, Billie Morris and her husband Aubrey (Sonny) Morris; his brothers, Mark and Sammy Newman; his nephew, Justin and wife Chelcea Morris, his nephew, Aaron Morris, his nieces, Kylie, Averi, Raelynn, his nieces Brittany, Skyler and Shyloh; his grandchildren, Emma Ramirez, AJ Ramirez, and Stevie Newman; his cousins, James and Janet Ward; and a host of loving relatives and friends who will miss his humor, his stories, and his heart.

Richard had a gift for making people laugh, brightening any room with his quick wit, clever jokes, and playful spirit. He had a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories, and his laughter was truly contagious. Friends and family knew they could always count on him for a joke, a smile, or a lighthearted story that made even the hardest days a little easier.

Richard’s life was defined by love for his family, his sense of humor, and his ability to bring joy wherever he went. His laughter, kindness, and spirit will live on in the memories he created with those he loved.
