

Ruby was a long time member of the Galloway Ave. Baptist Church and was an extremely faithful servant to her Lord. She moved to Mesquite about 20 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed being closer to her family. Ruby, affectionately known as “Mamaw”, was an accomplished seamstress and was quite the expert at quilting. Her favorite saying was “Take it easy”. Ruby was a feisty and strong woman that loved her grandchildren dearly.
Preceding her in death are her parents Elmer and Effie Burns; husbands Rogers and W. Mose Barnard; daughter Helen Rogers, grandson Jimmy Dewayne Rogers, brothers Daniel Burns and George Burns and sister Ruth Burns Cross.
Those left to cherish her memory are her grandson Jeff Rogers and wife, Angela; great-grandchildren: Jennifer Rogers, Cherish Mulford and Zach McAlister; great-great-grandchildren Cade Mulford and Aliana Collins and sister Louise Edwards.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, TX. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories.
