Ruth Ann Booth was born in Hobart Oklahoma July 4 1934 into a sharecropping family. She went home to be with her Lord on March 7, 2017. She was the 11th child out of 13 born to Ezra & Lourene Gilbreath. Her family share cropped from town to town when she was growing up, and they didn’t stay in one place very long. She grew up in the Church, and memorized over 250 Bible Scriptures as a child, through Sunday School & Vacation Bible School at her Church. Their family finally put down some roots in East Dallas in the 50’s & she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in January of 1954. After High School, she went to work at Greenville Avenue State Bank where she put her shorthand that she learned in high school to good use. Ruth Ann married Lummie Ray Booth April 1, 1965, and was married for 9 years until his death in 1974. Ruth Ann worked as a bookkeeper & tax consultant for many years. After her husband died in 1974, she worked multiple jobs to make sure that she provided for her 3 kids, and she did. She always provided for her family and sacrificed for her grandchildren & great grandchildren. The Lord was always first in her life with her family a close second. She led numerous people to the Lord throughout her long & fulfilling life. She was so comforted knowing that her entire family was saved.
