Sergio was a longtime resident of Kaufman. He loved fishing. When he was young he would go by himself fishing at a Sandy River. He would catch fish, shrimp, and Lobsters. He loved to bring home dinner.
He purchased his first female pig with his own money when he was 8 years old. After fattening and breeding her he was able to start a side business with 12 piglets.
Besides fishing he loved family get togethers. He raised his 5 children well and taught them all the fear of God.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Pedro Aleman, Angela Aleman Estrada, and Tomasa Ortiz. Parents Juan Martinez and Maria Dolores Aleman. Brothers and sisters, Aurea Martinez, Alfonso Martinez, Juan Martinez and Jesus Martinez.
He is survived by his wife Martha Martinez Lara. His Children, Abimael, Jezreelita, Zurisaddai, M. Elizabeth, and Juliana Ashley. Grandchildren: Viviana, Bryanna, Gianna, Adam, Jordan, Natalie and Precious Angel, Aaron, Alex, Liliana, Jose, Emily, Abimael Isaiah, Jacob, Andrew, Jacqueline, Adrian, Ethan. He was also survived by 7 brothers and sisters, Eduardo Martinez, Gilberto Martinez, Eulalia Martinez, Estela Martinez, Nepthali Martinez and Yolanda Martinez.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 13 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville. Services will be held on Thursday November 14, in the Roselawn Funeral home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Roselawn memorial Gardens.
