Sharon Ann McClure Hale was born on May 22, 1946, in Orange, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Donnie McClure; her first husband, Garry Peacock; her brother and sister-in-law, Billy Joe and Joanne McClure; and her sister and brother-in-law, James and Mary Bramhall.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Hale; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Sonny Gilcrease; and her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Connie Hale. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Macy and Westin Morrow; Presley and Garrett Hall; Darrianne Hale; Hallehannah Hale; and Bennett Hale.
Sharon leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, including Kathy Porter, Joshua Porter, Joel and Emily Dooley, Lacey and Jayden Porter, and Greg, Penny, Caden, and Connor Lang, along with several other dear nieces and nephews.
She was known for her candid spirit—those who loved her often said she “had no filter,” a trait that brought laughter to every room she entered. Her bold personality was matched only by her generous heart and her deep love for family and friends.
Sharon was a devoted member of Christian Center of Mesquite, where she faithfully served in the women’s ministry. Her personal ministry was expressed through countless hours in the kitchen, preparing comforting meals for those who were sick, hospitalized, or grieving, as well as for funeral gatherings. She also faithfully led monthly meals for Teen Challenge for many years.
Her happiest moments were spent with her girls—shopping, getting their nails done, going out to eat, and playing games. Above all, time with her family was her greatest joy.
She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Yet we find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and is now with her Savior and the loved ones who have gone before her.
