On May 27, 2020, Shelba Ann Cook passed away at the age of 75. She was surrounded by her family at home. Ann was born Jan. 22, 1945 in New Orleans, La. She is survived by her four loving children, Michael Stone, Laura McCullough (husband Gary), Rhonda Salazar (husband Tim), Sheina Stone. Also 11 grandchildren, Violet Miro, Benjamin Gutierrez, Amber McCullough, Ryan McCullough, Cody Salazar, Gabriel Salazar, Kayla Salazar, Justin Salazar, Michael Salazar, Zachary Grubbs and Tori Grubbs. She had 9 great grandchildren, Shea Lynn, Savannah, Micah, Ethan, Dane, Rylen, Ryder, Luke and Isaac. Also survived by her brothers Harold and Joe Ward. Ann was preceded in death by her father and mother Homer and Ruth Ward.
Ann was a strong independent woman who loved to read, sew and cross stitch. She loved preparing wonderful holiday meals for her family. She was strong spirited and had an attitude to match. Her kids and grandkids knew she meant business when she used their first and middle name while talking to them. Ann loved her family strongly and watched out for them with the same passion.
