Shirley Jo Chambers

Shirley Jo Chambers age 80 of Mesquite, went to be with the Lord May 5, 2016 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She was born November 30, 1935 in Hiram, TX to L. D. & Goldie (Boshears) Moore. Shirley graduated as valedictorian from Terrell High School. She met her loving husband of 62 years Clifton Chambers and they were married at a small ceremony in Dallas on April 30,1954 Shirley loved children and crafts especially crochet she made everything from sweaters to afghans. She worked in the accounting department of TxDot for 19 years and had been retired 18years. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church for over 20 years. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Clifton Chambers; sons, Kevin Chambers & Clay Chambers; daughter Amy Brooks; grandchildren, Lauren Fields & Cameron Fields; great-grandchild Tadarah; sister Judy Williams; brothers, Larry Moore & Ronnie Moore and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Fred Moore and sister Peggy Parker. Family will receive family and friends 6pm – 8pm Monday, May 9, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be 10am Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
